The second version has the same 8MB of RAM soldered but also includes a 12MB memory module. Any further memory upgrading in this second version of the 2300c will require the removal of the 12MB memory module. This Mac contains 2048K ROMs, and an Apple 1.44MB SuperDrive that uses high-density floppy disks and reads, writes, and formats Macintosh, Windows, MS-DOS, OS/2, and ProDOS disks. Serial Port with the phone icon supports synchronous modems, with handshaking on both the output and input. Sound output is stereo. Contains an international power supply.
